THE BOY WHO SHOOK HANDS WITH SACHIN
“Saachinnn… saachinn” Wankhade reverberated as the
legend heads to the pavilion after a brilliant knock. As he climbed through the
steps, all the cheering and applauding seemed to come from a distant end behind
the steel security fence. He looked over his shoulder to the left, as a million
eyes gazed him, to find people near the fence fixated their eyes on the brink
of their raised hands; as they try seize the time frame in their electronic
gadgets.
Amidst the electronic geeks, there came a boy
running frantically and slid his hand through the fence. The following day, it
made to the papers with the headline “THE BOY WHO SHOOK HANDS WITH SACHIN”,
with a photograph.
Each day he waits at the play ground with his legs
padded; holding a bat with despair as his friends preferred playing in a 16
inch ground with a joystick. Frustrated and desolated the boy feared of “living”
becoming psychic than holistic. So, he grew up to become a traveler, and an
adventure lover. He never bothered to capture his paragliding nor scuba diving.
On asked, whether he wouldn’t cherish the moments later he says “I live in the
moment, I don’t need pictures to revive my happy moments. If somebody does,
then they are not enjoying it to the fullest”. The true spirit to relish is
lost in the wake of “capturing” instead of “living” in the moments.
He hugs his buddies and wishes them on their special
occasions while they pour out messages on social media on his special occasions.
He lends his shoulder, while others express their condolences. He loves to
watch a flower blossom than to like a picture of the same on a virtual platform.
His name is “LOST SOUL” he waits out there every
nook and corner to be embraced and to be welcomed. Each day he prays “As
mankind forgets to cherish little moments and to give the manifestations of
little love and care, oh lord, do not let HUMANITY be a word expressed through
a 16 inch to a 72 inch machine”.
