The lost love

The lost love
Day 1

The sudden chillness of the rain drop over my shoulder had paused my thoughts, and I held my hand out feeling the rain drops. It’s raining. The cool breeze, the blended aroma of sand and water, rustling of water through the streets made a beautiful beginning of the day. Jogging early hours is a perfect start for the day. Sometimes I feel nature leaves certain omens from which you can predict the happenings and the moment I felt like it’s gonna be a special day.
Entering the college gate, I wished I had won the bet against my friends: which made me attend classes when all my buddies enjoying the tinsel town’s new release. It’s the worst thing to do: attend boring lectures without your buddies.

“Aman, Aman” the voice intensified, “where have you lost? Answer the question” Shelly, who was sitting next to me, yelled at me.
“What?? What question??” my instant reaction which brought me back to my senses and I saw my lecturer glaring at me waiting for my answer. I hate it, why it has to be me when the whole class is ready to answer. Result, I was thrown out of the class for which I felt much favored.

Slowly walked to the canteen, which is a perfect place in the college to pass time. Taking a sip from the coke, my eyes started scanning every inch of the canteen. I paused for a second when I saw those beautiful eyes, at the second table to my left, and lost in the gorgeous smile she was wearing.

The very next moment she stood up leaving the canteen. I was mesmerized by the beauty she possessed. I dropped my coke and ran behind her.

Day 2

“Am I really that beautiful?” she asked me in her sweet tone.
Sometimes girls are really stupid or it’s just the fact that they don’t have brains. Why just they can’t admit they feel good at hearing it over and over.
“Ilisha", I took her hands into mine "I told you and I would love to tell you again and again that I almost wished I was blind when I saw you”, long pause and looking into her eyes I said “you are gorgeous”.
Now, time just ticked and I never knew what day it is…
She often speaks with her eyes, expressive cute ones and I just love them. Time just rolled, within a month we have become good friends. Yes, I said friends, as you know girls just don’t accept it that soon.
“Why don’t you just try that girl, she is a perfect match for you”
Yet another silly question “yeah really? Let me enquire then”, I stepped towards the girl who she was pointing at.
“I know you boys are all the same”, she started saying pulling me back “let’s go for a movie, please”
My days started with her and ended with her, yet every day was different.
Everyday seemed colorful until the Valentine’s.

Night before valentine’s:
I called it as last day for my wait and wrapped a charming beautiful crystal swan pendant in a box. Over and over glaring at the box I tried to sleep that night, dreaming about tomorrow.

Valentine’s Day:

The clocked ticked 9:00 a.m. Dressed in white shirt and blue denim, which she likes the most, I waited for her to show up at the Blue love’s restaurant.
An hour passed, she didn't turn up. Several questions poped out of my mind, had a difficult time giving excuses to all of them.
With a down heart, I started returning home. There at the 4th cross second street from St.Mary’s I saw her. Laughing and giggling sitting in an ice cream parlor. I parked my bike and ran to her.
All the anger, all the frustration has evaporated the moment I saw her.
“where have you been? I was……..”
“shh!!"she interrupted"I told you I would give you a surprise and here is your surprise” her eyes pointed the man sitting in front of her.
Not until the second I could see the obvious before my eyes: she was accompanying him and was holding a rose in her hand. And both were dressed as a perfect couple.
“I was about to introduce you to Ivan but thought of giving you a little surprise and you see now……..” she went on continuing.
Every next word she spoke was a thousand arrow strike right at the centre of my heart, ripping it apart. I turned my back and came out of the parlor.
It started raining again as in the beginning.
Reaching home I took the pendant in my hand; laid on the bed staring at it.
Epilogue:
There Aman lay on his bed staring at the pendant, through the beautiful transparent crystal pendant his colorful memories flashed, suddenly his heart felt heavy, tears gradually blocked his sight filling the socket and sprung out of his eyes which never blinked again.

LOVE is essential in life but never start treating Love as life.

"THE STORY UNTOLD"

EXPLORE THE INNER YOU

This story happens to be in the most innocent days of my life; childhood. It takes you through the cuteness of one’s childhood.  It was a Sunday evening; I slowly opened my eyes to find myself on the floor, I should have been sleeping there all noon.  I was just 5 or 6, I slowly woke up and saw my elder brother sitting on a study chair with a writing pad; my initial thought was my brother is busy with his homework.
Hey how do you do that!! That’s so cool and amazing man..!!” my brother’s friend, who was sitting next to him, started flooding compliments at my brother, this raised the curiosity at my brother’s work. I stood up from where I sat and started to my brother. There on a piece of white paper lay a beautifully dressed bride with a crown. “Who is this??” I asked my brother. “She is Jasmine”, he replied. It was such a beautiful art, hardly one could find a flaw in it and this wasn’t the first time my brother getting compliments from his friends.
Drawing used to fascinate me all the time and was exciting when my own sibling does that. This raised a curious question “how does he do it??”
One day I went to my brother and asked him “brother, how do you do it??”
“Drawing? That’s because there is magic in my hands
Magic!!” this has become even more fascinating when I heard magic, “where did you learn it?”
I didn’t learn, it was a gift from the God
Gift from the God!” I was amazed at the gift he has got. Then I started thinking, if my brother was gifted I should also be gifted, after all we are siblings right. I started staring at my hand, wondering whether I got the gift too. That was the moment when I started to think of drawing.
Initially I sticked to the cartoons, then I slowly started sketching portraits. Now I know “you will never know what you got unless you try (find) it”
I believe everyone is gifted with some ABILITY; one has to identify it and exhibit it. So that it gets the recognition it deserves. Though I am not a great artist today but I aspire to become one in future, for my brother.
Hope this story instigates to explore the inner YOU.

A JOURNEY THROUGH THE REMARKABLE DAY OF MY LIFE ( 24/08/2012)

A JOURNEY THROUGH THE REMARKABLE DAY OF MY LIFE

“Hurry up get the cable from the van, we need to go live”, I could see a middle aged man, who wore a badge which had a colorful national bird that said CNBC- Media, shouting at his assistant.
There I was, at the NIMHANS Convention centre, Bangalore, in front of a 7ft flex board which  read “Welcome to 16th Annual Convocation of IFIM”, the no.1 private b school in Bangalore. The registration committee and robing committee volunteers are finding difficult to give rest to their legs, keeping themselves busy making the arrangements. Midst the chaotic arrangements, there I stood waiting for the memorable moments in lives of hundreds to start. The day was indeed memorable as almost 190 members are getting graduated from the hands of the greatest entrepreneur of India; Mr.N.R.Naryana Murthy, while he is making his presence here today. “Excuse me sir”, a voice that disturbed my deep thoughts and startled me, “I am from THE HINDU, can you please guide me to the auditorium”, then I headed to the auditorium with him.
There is the legend, dressed in a long red robe, walking through the aisle, I was amazed at the austerity he displayed despite being such a great man:Padmavibhushan Mr.N.R.N Murthy. The song “hey sharade, ma sharade” gave a great start to the event. The stage was soon occupied by the honorable guests of the day: Padmavibhushan Mr.N.R.Narayana Murthy, Padmasri Mr.Pritam Singh, Mr.Jayashankaran , hon’ble Chairman, Director & board of directors of IFIM.
“Now I request our Hon’ble Chief Guest Mr.N.R.N Murthy to present the P.G.diplomas to the graduating students” there came the announcement, the graduating students with much excitement and enthusiasm stepped ahead to receive their diplomas. The entire auditorium was resonating with the claps when the awards for the academic excellence were announced. The scholars took their medals from Mr.N.R.N and honorable Chairman of IFIM Mr. V.B.Padode. The next moment I saw a lady sitting next to me started weeping, then I realized it was joy tears flowing down as her daughter just received a gold medal from Mr.N.R.N, what else does a parent want.
“The young generation today should have the learnability: the ability to operate in multi-cultural teams, being a good communicator” his speech still ringing in my ears, I felt very fortunate to be there at the event beholding Mr.N.R.N’s presence.  Then came the inspirational speech from Mr.Pritam Singh,Director general of IMI Delhi, “students today should fight a war not a battle by moulding skills as their  greatest weapons” (in his words). The followed events were administration of oath and pledge for the graduating students. The event closed with the vote of thanks by prof. Anand Narsimha, Dean (Planning and Development) IFIM.
Travelling in the car I took a look back at day, it was a surreal and exhilarating journey of my life.
